Well, no need to worry about that. Front wind shields are
laminated glass which is different than all the other surrounding windows
that are tempered glass. The construction of front wind shields are really
two layers of glass laminated together by a binding agent called Poly Butyl
Vinyl (P.B.V.). This is the strength that keeps projectiles from penetrating
the glass and hitting you in the teeth. The glass will break but renders
penetration. Within the P.B.V. itself, there are U.V. inhibitors which has
the same U.V. blockage properties as any film installed on the side and rear
windows.
